Throughout the Jets’ forthcoming Hyundai A-League and Westfield FFA Cup campaigns Veolia branding will feature on the sleeve of the Club’s playing shirts.
While Veolia operates in 48 countries across the globe, the company also maintains a local focus with operations throughout Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.
Veolia Australia and New Zealand's Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Doug Dean, said he is thrilled with the new partnership, which he believes will benefit both organisations.
“We are extremely pleased to come on board as a major partner of Newcastle Jets for the 2017/18 season,” Mr. Dean said.
“The Jets have undergone recent strategic changes that we are impressed with. They have a dynamic squad backed by one of the most successful coaches in the A-League’s history, so we’re really looking forward to them shaking up the competition this season.”
“Veolia has operated in the Newcastle region for a number of years, and we’ve always been committed to supporting the communities in which we operate.”
“Football is the most popular sporting code in Australia and has a very dedicated following. It brings communities together, and we see the success of sporting teams like the Jets as vital to the health and vibrancy of regional areas like Newcastle,” he said.
Newcastle Jets' Chief Executive Officer, Lawrie McKinna, said securing a partner of Veolia’s size and standing is a significant success for the Club.
“Veolia employs over 4,000 people throughout Australia and New Zealand and provides over 65,000 customers between the two nations with their sustainable solutions,” McKinna explained.
“Veolia is a highly recognised and respected brand in global environmental services, and we’re committed to playing our part in amplifying their brand locally, nationally, and where possible, internationally.”
“We thank Veolia for demonstrating trust in our Club’s development,” McKinna concluded.
