The Newcastle Jets are committed to becoming a leader in the community, and we are investing substantially to establish a number of meaningful programs that meet community needs.
Each year the Newcastle Jets receive hundreds of requests from community, charity and fundraising organisations across Newcastle seeking donations and support. Unfortunately, while we will endeavour to support all local charities, we are not in a position to fulfil all requests. Please note that we are not in a position to make cash donations.
Alliance Program
In response to the many requests we receive from various organisations in the community, we have set up the Newcastle Jets Alliance Program.
The Newcastle Jets Alliance program is designed to give charity and community organisations the opportunity to be considered as the recipient of a Newcastle Jets shirt that you can use for your fund raising activities. On this basis, the Newcastle Jets have made the following commitment to support local charities and community organisations. In 2010, the Newcastle Jets will give away one Newcastle Jets shirt each month to one community organisation that offers their support and loyalty to a worthy cause such as a charity, school or local football team.
Who can access the Newcastle Jets Alliance?
The program is free and open to all government registered local charities, schools, sporting clubs and not-for-profit community organisations.
The organisation that can illustrate that you offer the Newcastle Jets your support and loyalty, and that you encourage football participation, will be given priority.
How to show us your alliance
Loyalty and support come in many forms. How organisations choose to show them is limited only by imagination but it’s worth remembering that photos are highly valued.

Major Charity Partner
The Newcastle Jets Football Club are proud to announce The Leukaemia Foundation as its Official Charity Partner for the upcoming Hyundai A-League season.
Each year the Newcastle Jets undertake a selection process to align with a charity to assist the charity with opportunities to increase brand awareness in the community, generate fundraising opportunities, with the ultimate goal to provide benefits to people in need.
Newcastle Jets Chief Executive Officer, John Tsatsimas, is looking forward to working with the Leukaemia Foundation. “To be able to assist a local charity in its support of leukaemia patients gives us a great sense of fulfilment. The Leukaemia Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation and receives no Government assistance. We believe we’re here to play good football and use our profile to help others, and that’s what it’s all about – helping others,” Mr. Tsatsimas said.
The Leukaemia Foundation in NSW/ACT provides support for people with leukaemia and other related blood disorders, while funding research into better treatments and cures. Patients, their families and carers are assisted with accommodation, transport, information and education, as well as emotional support.
Leukaemia Foundation General Manager in NSW/ACT, Stuart Allen, said the Foundation is excited to be partnering with the Newcastle Jets for the upcoming season. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for the two organisations to develop even stronger links within the local community,” said Mr. Allen. “The Foundation’s agreement with the Newcastle Jets will allow us to continue our work in providing our vital services to patients in the Hunter Valley who are diagnosed with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related blood disorders.”
“We thank the Newcastle Jets for their generous support and look forward to working with them into the future,” Mr Allen said.
