Aurizon, Australia-s largest rail freight operator and Major Sponsor of the Newcastle Knights and Newcastle Jets, is pleased to announce nominations for the 2013 Volunteer Program are now open.
The Aurizon Volunteer Program, now in its second year, recognises and rewards every volunteer nominated for the valued contribution they make to junior sport in the Hunter region.
The program received many quality nominations in 2012 from clubs spanning from Lake Macquarie right through to the Upper Hunter.
Thanks to Aurizon the program offers great rewards for every volunteer nominated, including a $250 cash prize for the 16 selected finalists and a $1,000 donation to the overall Volunteer of the Year winner-s respective junior club for each code.
The Newcastle Knights and Jets encourage all junior club personnel and associates to nominate their volunteers. As part of the 2013 criteria, anyone is able to nominate a representative from a junior club as long as a club contact is provided. As an added bonus, the organising committee will provide a one-off incentive of two complimentary tickets to either a Knights or Jets game to the nominator for each valid nomination received before 30th July 2013.
