Newcastle Jets can confirm that Matt Millar has signed a short-term loan deal with English League One side, Shrewsbury Town.
The deal runs until January 1, which will give Millar the chance to play games in the short-term during the A-League off-season.
Millar played 24 times for the Jets in the A-League 2019/20 season, scoring four goals.
Head Coach, Carl Robinson described it as a move which will prove beneficial to Millar’s development.
“With the uncertainty around the date of the league restart, a loan move is a good opportunity for Matty to play games in the short term,” Robinson said.
“It’ll be a great experience for the player to head overseas and challenge himself in England, and it’s a deal which benefits all parties.”
