There was plenty of football throughout the month of July for our many talented Academy youngsters.
The Greater Bank Academy Team of the Month for July featured 22 youngsters, but there were two in particular who stood tallest.
For July, those two were Blake Archbold from our U/18s boys side, and Bella Carlisle from our U/17s girls side.
Archbold is a key turn in the U/18s side, but has recently been seeing gametime with the Youth squad given his good form.
The attacker has demonstrated his outstanding goal-scoring instincts with seven goals in six games throughout July for his U/18s side in a run of form which has helped the team to the second on the NPL Northern NSW U/20s ladder.
Archbold’s good form is made all the more remarkable by his return from a number of injuries in the past 12 months, including an ACL and medial.
Bella Carlisle is a midfielder by trade, but with a versatility that allows her to slot into the backline when necessary.
She’s played every match throughout the month of July in a crucial period which saw her U/17s side qualify for the NPL NSW Women’s Reserve grade finals.
On top of those heroics, Carlisle was a standout at the Girls NTC competition in Canberra, displaying excellent leadership skills both on and off the park.
Greater Bank have come on board as the Academy Player of the Month sponsor, with both Blake and Bella awarded a $50 Life Saver account for their fantastic efforts in the month of July.
