Ticketing information has been finalised ahead of the Newcastle Jets massive AFC Champions League Preliminary Stage match on Tuesday 12 February.

The Jets opponents are yet to be confirmed, but the winner of tonight’s match between Singapore’s Home United and Indonesia’s Persija Jakarta will determine who travels to Newcastle.

The match will see McDonald Jones Stadium renamed to Hunter Stadium for the match, due to Asian Football Confederation (AFC) commercial regulations.

In more exciting news for Jets Members and fans, only the lower bowl of Hunter Stadium will be open for the match which will ensure a passionate and boisterous atmosphere.

Newcastle will wear a pair of special edition strips for their AFC Champions League matches, one home kit and one away kit, emblazoned with the word ‘NEWCASTLE’ across the front, proudly supported by the Newcastle and Hunter community.

For the general public, tickets will be $20 for adults and $10 for kids.

Tickets will go on-sale via Ticketmaster on Wednesday 6 February at 10am for Members, and Thursday 7 February at 10am for the general public.

One of the biggest matches for the Newcastle Jets in their 14-year history, a win would see the side travel to Japan to take on J-League giants, Kashima Antlers for a spot in the AFC Champions League 2019 Group Stage.

Newcastle last featured in the competition back in 2009, where they progressed to the Round of 16.

Further information regarding the Jets opponents will be released once details are known.
