Aurizon announce finalists for Volunteer of the Year Program

Aurizon is pleased to announce the 16 nominees for the 2013 Aurizon Volunteer of the Year Program.

Aurizon is pleased to announce the 16 nominees for the 2013 Aurizon Volunteer of the Year Program for junior football and junior rugby league.

One of the many community programs run by Aurizon in the Hunter region in conjunction with the Newcastle Jets and Newcastle Knights, the Volunteer Program aims to acknowledge the unsung heroes who give so much of their time and effort to junior football and rugby league clubs in the region.

Congratulations to the following recipients who have been nominated in their respective codes and are in the running to become the 2013 Aurizon Volunteer of the Year.

The junior football volunteer nominees are:
Brian Gaffney – Mayfield
Sandra Buxton – Shortland
Gaye McCauley – Bishop Tyrell Anglican College Football
Ron Herival – Thornton
Robert Donadei – Maryland
Rob Flanigan – Thornton
Marc Hingston – New Lambton
David Maher – Shortland

The junior rugby league volunteer nominees are:
Forrest Saunders – Dungog
Aaron Jones – Raymond Terrace
Christine Amos – Cessnock
Mick Oldham – East Maitland
Angela Barry – Denman
Wendy Povey – Morpeth
Lenny Argent – Dungog
Peter Atkins – Central Charlestown

Each of the above nominees receive a cash prize plus win a respective Jets or Knights VIP experience. Aurizon also acknowledges and rewards every nomination received throughout the program with tickets to a Jets or Knights game plus a commemorative T-Shirt.

Entries for 2013 have now closed. Aurizon once again congratulates all nominees and looks forward to announcing the Volunteer of the Year for each code later in the year. The Volunteer of the Year winners will be posted on the Jets and Knights Club websites.
