Over 400 of the Newcastle Jets- youngest fans attended the Club-s Aurizon Junior Member Clinic at Hunter Stadium on Tuesday.
The entire Jets squad was in attendance to conduct a series of skills and training drills with the junior Members, varying from small-sided games to goalkeeping drills.
Following the conclusion of the clinic, the junior Members were able to meet their favourite Jets players and who signed autographs and posed for photos.
The event concluded with a free sausage sizzle and giveaways for the junior Members who all departed Hunter Stadium with big smiles on their faces.
Jets forward James Virgili said the event was as big a hit with the players as it was with the fans.
“As a young child growing up in Newcastle I would have loved to have the opportunity to come to a clinic like this and meet my childhood heroes,” Virgili said.
“To see the smiles on the kids' faces and see that they enjoyed the day was fantastic.
“It was great for us as players to be able to meet the club-s youngest fans and hopefully in a few years they will be in our shoes playing for the Jets.”
