The team are on the bus and headed towards their first stop on #JetsTour2016, Muswellbrook!

Before the team boarded its coach, Jets Head Coach Scott Miller spoke to local media including NBN Television, The Herald, and ABC Newcastle at Ray Watt Oval at the University of Newcastle.

Miller said that pre-season trips such as these are important for both the Club and his squad.

“It’s an important time for everyone, especially given the fact that we have a sponsor [Greater Bank] who has continued their support of the Club [via #JetsTour2016],” Miller said.

“Going up to Northern New South Wales and reaching out to our fan-base up there is very important for us.”

“If I was a young footballer living in Muswellbrook or Tamworth and an A-League club came to town, then I would be very interested to come to watch and meet these types of players.”

“We have a great responsibility to represent the club well while we are away, and look forward to spending the next few days in Tamworth,” he said.

The Jets will hold a ‘Jets: Play’ Clinic for up to 200 kids aged between 6 and 12 this afternoon at Victoria Park in Muswellbrook.
