Michael Bridges, who recently made a return to the A-League, will play against friend and former teammate Harry Kewell when the Newcastle Jets host Melbourne Victory on Saturday night at Ausgrid Stadium.
Following the teams final training session today at the stadium, coach Gary van Egmond confirmed Bridges will start Saturday’s game from the bench.
Bridges and Kewell played together at Leeds and have remained good friends since. But as Bridges says, their history counts for nothing come Saturday night at Ausgrid Stadium.
Van Egmond will finalise his starting eleven and bench 90 minutes prior to the game and all the details will be posted right here.
