Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets striker Michael Bridges caught up with some of the students from Hunter Valley Grammar School during the Jets- intra-club trial match on Wednesday.

Bridges, who sat out the fixture with hamstring injury, took the opportunity to have a quick chat with a few of the hundreds of school children who watched the game.

Among the spectators was former Newcastle Breakers player Ralph Maier who is now a teacher at Hunter Valley Grammar School.
