On Saturday Jeremy Brockie stunned the crowd with a sensational volley.

Despite a 2-1 loss to Sydney FC on Saturday afternoon, a real highlight of the game came from the boot of striker Jeremy Brockie who stunned the crowd with a sensational volley in the 25th minute.

Having now scored 4 goals, Brockie’s 2011/12 campaign keeps going from strength-to-strength and Members and supporters can expect to see many more goals from the New Zealand International.

“It was a fantastic strike which showed wonderful skill,” Gary van Egmond said.

“Not many players could of made that shot and it provided great entertainment for the people who came and watched our game.”

While happy to have scored, Brockie was disappointed that his team did not secure the win after such a strong start.

“It is always good being an attacking player and scoring goals but at the end of the day three points are more important than individual honours,” Brockie said.
