Jeremy Brockie has been selected in an 18-man All Whites squad for the ASB Summer International against Jamaica.
Newcastle Jets striker Jeremy Brockie has been selected in an 18-man All Whites squad for the ASB Summer International against Jamaica.
Brockie, who has played 24 games for the All Whites, is delighted to be included in the squad.
“It is always an honour to be called up to the national team,” Brockie said after the announcement on Thursday.
“It has been a while since our last game so it will be good to catch up with all the Kiwi boys again.
“It is our last game before our World Cup qualifiers in June, so if I get a chance to get on the field it-s important for me to make the most of the opportunity.
“I am feeling confident and looking forward to the game.”
Brockie, who is leading the goal tally at the Jets this seasonn with eight, hopes he can take that form into the international.
“Hopefully I can take my Club goal scoring form into camp and get my first international goal,” he added.
The international against 52 ranked Jamaica will be the All Whites- last match before the path to Brazil 2014 begins in June with the OFC Nations Cup.
