Building Bridges in the community

Club CEO John Tsatsimas and star striker Michael Bridges extend a hand to local charities.

Club CEO John Tsatsimas and star striker Michael Bridges today presented cheques to the Leukaemia Foundation and Westpac Rescue Helicopter. At the end of last season, funds were raised from the online auction of jerseys and match ball from the World Cup Bid Round of the Hyundai A-League.

All Hyundai A-League clubs, in conjunction with Football Federation Australia, raised funds for selected charities via this online auction, with the Jets- jerseys being sold for the highest cumulative value of all the clubs.

The Jets were delighted to raise thousands of dollars so that the Leukaemia Foundation and Westpac Rescue Helicopter can continue to help those in need within the community.

“Our commitment to supporting local charities and community organisations is unwavering,” Mr. Tsatsimas said this afternoon.

“Certainly our community programs will again be in full swing this coming season, and the club will once more be supporting a variety of good causes such as the Leukaemia Foundation and Westpac Rescue Helicopter,” he added.
