Newcastle Jets ventured to Nelson Bay on Tuesday for its first ‘Jets: Play’ clinic of the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season.
Jets: Play is an initiative by the Newcastle Jets alongside its Major Community Partner, the Greater Building Society , to interact and engage with young football fans aged between six and 16 throughout the Hyundai A-League season.
The program enables young players to register for one of four Jets: Play clinics to be held throughout the Hyundai A-League season in areas such as Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens.
Jets: Play Nelson Bay featured the majority of the Newcastle Jets first team squad plus coaching staff.
140 local kids participated in Tuesday’s Jets: Play clinic, each having the chance to be coached by Jets players and staff, and receive autographs from the team.
