It is great the Jets can give their Members and supporters an opportunity to choose this week’s walk out song.

After the A-League announced this week they are allowing the Clubs to choose their walk-out songs on match day, the Newcastle Jets put a poll on their Facebook to ask what Members and fans wanted to hear.

The overwhelming response was INXS-s Never Tear Us Apart; of the 531 votes, 343 of them were for the former walk out song.

@joshcleary said, “Seriously? A vote? There’s only 1 song,” in reference to Never Tear Us Apart while @rawprawn25 said “some parts of Newy Jets heritage should not be changed #ntua”.

Before the poll even commenced, @Thompson_MAC said, “Now the A-League clubs are allowed to play their own walk out music, will we now be hearing “never tear us apart” again?”

The Members and supporters have spoken and the Jets will walk out to Never Tear Us Apart this Sunday at Hunter Stadium.

“It is great we can give the Members and supporters an opportunity to choose this week’s walk out song and we are sure it will set the stage for a memorable occasion on Sunday,” CEO Robbie Middbley said.

In a first at Hunter Stadium, a stage will be set up above the tunnel so the band Sunday’s Record will play the song as the team walks out.
