Francis Jeffers cleared to take on Adelaide

Francis Jeffers will line up for the Jets tomorrow after gaining clearance from FIFA today.

The Newcastle Jets received a timely boost today with striker Francis Jeffers cleared to play in tomorrow’s clash against Adelaide.

Official FIFA clearance came through today meaning the English import could take to EnergyAustralia Stadium in Jets colours for the first time.

Jeffers said he was excited to debut for the Jets after some uncertainty surrounding his availability during the week.

“I’m really excited to get out there now that everything’s approved,” Jeffers said.

“I’ll be going out there to hopefully score some goals for the club.

“Obviously we’ve been through a tough period with results but we’re all working hard and it’ll be good to get out there tomorrow and see what we can do in front of our home fans.”
