The Jets will look to continue their impressive start to the season, which currently sees them sitting in equal-third on the A-League ladder, by winning these two crucial home matches in the lead-up to the Christmas/ New Year period.
A season-high attendance of 15,289 saw the Jets secure a nail-biting 2-1 win over the Mariners at Hunter Stadium in the first F3 Derby of the season back in October.
With another big crowd expected for the December 8 clash between the fierce local rivals, the Jets will no doubt be determined to make it two wins from as many matches against the Central Coast this season.
The Mariners currently sit in first position on the ladder and with the Jets not too far behind them, the fixture is sure to bring out all the passion and fire that fans of both clubs have come to expect from F3 Derby matches.
Just a fortnight later on December 22, the Jets will welcome Sydney FC and their marquee man Alessandro Del Piero to Hunter Stadium.
The biggest name to grace the A-League has scored five goals already this season, matching the tally of Newcastle-s own high profile striker Emile Heskey.
Both players got on the scoresheet when the two sides met in Round 2, with the Jets picking up a 3-2 win in front of 35,419 spectators at Allianz Stadium.
