Labinot Haliti is one player who has earned a recall in this week’s 19-man squad for the Jets game against Perth Glory on Saturday afternoon.

After missing the Newcastle Jets game last weekend, Labinot Haliti is one player who has earned a recall in this week-s 19-man squad for the Jets game against Perth Glory on Saturday afternoon at Ausgrid Stadium.

“Jobe (Wheelhouse) is suffering a foot infection and we had a look at Labinot today to see about moving him into the midfield and he did really well,” van Egmond said.

Haliti is happy to be included, and will play whatever role is required of him.

“I am looking forward to the game this weekend, especially because we are coming off a loss to Wellington,” Haliti said.

“It is great to be part of this week-s squad and I would play anywhere on the field if it meant being part of the team.

“I would even have a go at keeper but I don-t know how well I would go.”

Falling to eighth spot after three consecutive losses, Haliti says the team is not worried about where they are sitting on the table but on making sure they give their Members and supporters a New Years to remember.

“Every game we play is going to be tough and we need to concentrate on our own game not what is going on with Perth Glory or where we are coming on the table,” Haliti explained.

“We need to stand up on Saturday and our Members and supporters something to celebrate.”
