Jets Coach Gary van Egmond is calling on the Hunter community to make the Membership commitment following today-s announcement of new Club signing Emile Heskey.
“Everyone in our region should be extremely proud to have someone of Emile-s quality come to our Club and everyone who is a Newcastle football supporter should be champing at the bit to get out and watch someone like Emile play for the Jets.”
Heskey is one of the biggest names to grace the A-League competition having represented England on 62 occasions, including three World Cups, and played over 500 English Premier League games.
The Jets set an ambitious target of 11,000 Members for the 2012/13 season and are within striking distance with over 9,200 already committed, currently the second biggest Membership in the A-League.
The Jets have secured one of the best draws in recent history and will host Sydney FC, rivals Central Coast Mariners and defending Champions Brisbane Roar on two occasions this season at Hunter Stadium.

Several thousand of the best seats at Hunter Stadium are currently being held for new Members expected to join in the coming weeks.
The Jets offer the most affordable Membership packages in the A-League. Supporters can reserve their seat for 13 huge games with prices starting from as little as $115 for Adults, $240 for a Family and $60 for Juniors.
The Jets have recruited heavily in the off-season with young talent, and Heskey-s experience will compliment the current roster.
