INJURY UPDATE: Haliti making positive progress

Though he may have had the majority of his Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season scuppered by injury, that doesn’t mean the hard work has stopped for Labinot Haliti this campaign.

Indeed, since Haliti sustained his season-ending Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury in round 2 against Sydney FC, the popular and experienced A-League attacker has been working behind the scenes with a focus on returning to his dangerous best next season.

Early morning starts with club physio Justin Dougherty have helped Haliti make significant strides in his rehabilitation, and this morning – with the sun just about fully up – the forward made further progress by juggling a ball for the first time since October.

Haliti is set to start light running in the coming weeks, and is scheduled to return to full training with Scott Miller’s squad when the club’s Hyundai A-League 2016/17 pre-season commences later this year.

Hunter Stadium will undoubtedly be happy to see Haliti take the field for the Jets again next season.
