The Newcastle Jets and Northern NSW Football will be conducting a series of Coaching Masterclasses starting next week.
The Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets in conjunction with Northern NSW Football will be conducting a series of Coaching Masterclasses comprising of the four key game training themes starting next week.
These classes will be aimed at coaches coaching in the 12-17 year-old age group and facilitated by Newcastle Jets head coach Gary van Egmond.
Van Egmond will facilitate sessions on key topics with participating coaches to be directly involved in the sessions.
The topics of the sessions will include:
-Attacking
-Defending
-Building up (Playing out)
-Transitioning
The classes will commence on Monday, July 15 and run through until Monday, August 12 and will be held at Jack McLaughlan Oval, Edgeworth.
Classes will run from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.
The first four weeks will cover the above disciplines, whilst the final week will be a coaching session involving the Newcastle Jets Youth Team followed by a Q&A session concentrating on ‘Coaching Philosophy- which will involve structured interaction with the coaches in attendance.
