The Jets will take on Melbourne Heart in Morwell, Victoria on Thursday, 8 July.
The Newcastle Jets will play an historic pre-season match against Hyundai A-League newcomers Melbourne Heart on Thursday, 8 July in the Victorian regional town of Morwell.
For the Jets, the match will be come off the back of an intense period of pre-season training, where the team will have been put through their paces ahead of the upcoming season. The match will be the Jets- first hit out against Hyundai A-League competition and should give Head Coach Branko Culina and his coaching staff a good indication of how the team is travelling just one month out from their Round 1 encounter against Adelaide United at Hindmarsh Stadium.
The Heart, meanwhile, will be keen to impress in the trial, and no doubt former Jets- Matt Thompson and Jason Hoffman will be looking to earn bragging rights over their former teammates.
