The Jets are calling on their Members and supporters to come along to Hunter Stadium on Saturday and cheer them.

After their thrilling 5-2 win over Sydney FC on the weekend, the Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets will return home this weekend where they will take on the fifth placed Melbourne Heart.

Having clocked up two wins and a draw away from home, coach Gary van Egmond is hoping the team will continue their winning ways on Saturday.

“We know Heart are a good team who have some good players who can change the game at any given time,” the coach said.

“We will concentrate on them and look forward to playing at home and hopefully give some joy to our Members and supporters, like we have done on the road.

“We have a short turnaround before Heart and we have to get ourselves ready but we are looking forward to the contest.”

With only seven games left until the finals, a win against Heart will see the Jets move into fifth place.

“It is going to be a tough run home but we are taking it one game at a time,” van Egmond added.
