The Newcastle Jets hosted the Cancer Council NSW, Hunter and Central Coast region, at the game on Saturday night.

Representatives from the CC NSW and its supporters thoroughly enjoyed their experience in the Club’s charity corporate box and also reserved seating ticket giveaway.

Glen Parsons, Community Relations Coordinator for the CC NSW in the Upper Hunter participated in an on-field Q&A pre-game and spoke about cancer prevention and the important services provided by the Cancer Council.

“We were very grateful for the kind invitation to attend the Jets match on Saturday. We hope that some of those at the game have taken away just one of our health messages”‘ Parsons said.

The Cancer Council NSW is a community funded, community focused cancer charity dedicated to the defeat of cancer. Through the development of prevention strategies, research into new treatments and cures, and by providing clinical and emotional support to those affected by cancer, the Cancer Council NSW works towards creating a society where lives are not cut short by or their quality diminished by cancer.
