The Newcastle Jets have named an 18-man squad to travel to Napier to face Wellington Phoenix on Sunday.
The Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets have named an 18-man squad to travel to Napier to face Wellington Phoenix in their Round 3 Hyundai A-League clash at McLean Park on Sunday.
Defender Taylor Regan and midfielder Ben Kantarovski have both been added to the Jets- extended travelling party and are available to make their first appearance of the season.
Speaking after Tuesday morning-s training session, Jets assistant coach Craig Deans also indicated that home grown winger Andrew Hoole is likely to feature for the Jets on Sunday.
“We had a look at young Hooley in the front third, he has a lot of natural aggression and positivity about himself, so that-s the sort of the thing we-re looking for,” he said.
“He has real self-belief that he can make a difference, so I think someone like him is a good chance (of playing).”
Sunday-s match will mark the first time an A-League fixture has been played at McLean Park in Napier. The game is scheduled to kick-off at 3pm AEDT.
