The Newcastle Jets W-League continue to build towards to the start of their season and are pleased to announce they have today secured the services of striker and current Matilda Lisa De Vanna.
The Newcastle Jets W-League continue to build towards to the start of their season and are pleased to announce they have today secured the services of striker and current Matilda Lisa De Vanna.
This comes after signing goalkeeper and Matilda-s captain Melissa Barbieri and six young Matilda-s including two home-grown products Tara Andrews and Hannah Brewer.
The Jets- W-League Assistant Coach Joey Peters is looking forward to having De Vanna at the Club.
“Lisa will be excitement plus for football fans and especially for those of the Jets,” Peters said.
“Her brilliant speed, skills and aggressive approach are captivating to watch and she will boost the team no end.
“Lisa is a potential combination with local talent Tara up front, which would spell danger to any opposition.”
The Jets Westfield W-League season kicks off on Sunday October 29 against Adelaide United at Adamstown Oval.
