The Newcastle Jets will play defending champions Brisbane Roar at Scully Park in Tamworth on Saturday night.
The Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets will play their second pre-season match against A-League opposition when they take on Brisbane Roar at Scully Park in Tamworth on Saturday night.
The fixture, which kicks-off at 6.30pm, is sure to provide the Jets with a valuable test against the back-to-back A-League Champions.
It will be the first time in six years that top level Australian football returns to Tamworth. This will be the Jets- second visit to the region to play an A-League pre-season game, while the Roar will be coming to Tamworth for the first time.
The game is a very important hit out as the teams gear up for the start of the A-League season in early October.
