The result means the Jets maintain top spot on the NNSW NPL ladder, one point clear of Edgeworth FC.
Beau McDonald opened the scoring for the Newcastle Jets Youth just ten minutes in, to give the visitors an early advantage against the bottom-placed Roosters.
Lake Macquarie City equalised through Tom Walker with ten minutes remaining in the first half as both sides went into the sheds with the scores locked at 1-1.
The visitors quickly restored their lead just moments after the half-time break through Ben Hay but again Lake Macquarie City came back to level the scores through Sam Walker five minutes later, and that-s how it stayed until the final whistle.
Lake Macquarie City is away to South Cardiff next week while Newcastle Jets Youth has a big match against Weston Workers.
