The Newcastle Jets Youth team secured a 3-1 win over Weston Workers Bears FC 3-1 at Rockwell Automation Park on Saturday.
The Newcastle Jets Youth team secured back-to-back wins for the first time this season, defeating Weston Workers Bears FC 3-1 in Round 11 of the NBN State League at Rockwell Automation Park on Saturday.
After a tight first half which saw Weston reduced to 10 men following Mick Ryan-s send off, Jets midfielder Bobby Russell put the Jets ahead with a neat finish from the edge of the area in the 49th minute.
Kale Bradbery doubled the Jets- lead midway through the second half, when he converted from the penalty spot after being brought down in the box.
The striker scored his seventh goal in his past two matches with a quality finish to make it 3-0 in favour of the Jets.
Nathan Morris scored a late consolation for the home side, but the Jets were able to hang on for a 3-1 victory.
The result moves the Jets into fifth place on the NBN State League ladder with 15 competition points.
