A five-goal haul from striker Kale Bradbery helped the Newcastle Jets Youth team secure a 7-2 victory over Valentine FC in Round 10 of the NBN State League at Cahill Oval on Saturday.

It wasn-t all one-way traffic for the Jets however, with Newcastle falling behind 2-0 to early goals from Valentine-s Scott McGinley and Nick Hills.

Nick Cowburn got one back for the Jets, finding the back of the net with a pinpoint free-kick, before Bradbery squared the ledger with a neat finish.

Bradbery then converted from the penalty spot to give the Jets a 3-2 lead going into the half-time interval.

Bradbery completed his hat-trick shortly after the break with another successful effort from the penalty spot. Further adding to Valentine-s woes, the foul in the lead-up saw Alex Burrell sent off, subsequently reducing the home side to 10 men.

The Jets capitalised of the numerical advantage, with Bradbery netting his fourth goal of the contest after a nice interchange with Radovan Pavicevic.

Luke Remington scored the Jets- sixth, before Bradbery completed the rout with the Jets- seventh of the game coming in stoppage time.
