Jets:Play Clinic lands in Stockton

It was a big afternoon at Cooroba Sports Field, Stockton yesterday as the Newcastle Jets, in partnership with Greater Bank put on a Jets:Play Clinic for more than 200 local children.

The Jets:Play Clinics provide the opportunity for children to receive coaching and have fun alongside their Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League heroes.

Our next generation of football stars got some expert tips and had an absolute blast with a range of games to improve their skills and fuel their love for the game.

Things kicked-off with a signing session which featured plenty of signatures and lots of photos, before the kids hit the pitch for an afternoon of football.

Newcastle Jets CEO, Lawrie McKinna, said the clinics provide a fantastic opportunity to promote the game and also to give back to the club’s loyal fans.

“When you turn up at these clinics you’re quickly reminded why we host them, the kids had a ball,” said McKinna.

“They get the chance to get up close with their heroes and learn more about the game, it’s a brilliant initiative that we’re proud to support along with our friends from Greater Bank.”

It was a massive response to the first clinic, with a similar number is expected to participate in the Toronto clinic to be held on 27 February.
