Newcastle Jets Youth will round out their Foxtel National Youth League (FNYL) 2014/15 campaign with a home clash against Melbourne City Youth in Broadmeadow on Sunday.
Jets Youth were defeated 6-1 by Sydney FC Youth away at the weekend, but have the opportunity to finish their season on a high and potentially influence the FNYL title race.Â
Melbourne City Youth are currently first on the FNYL table with one game remaining, level on points but ahead of Perth Glory Youth on goal difference.
If the junior Jets defeat mini Melbourne City, the Victorians will have to hope Perth Glory Youth don’t draw or defeat Brisbane Roar Youth in Western Australia on the same day.Â
Other results pending, a win for Jets youth could see them finish as high as fifth in the closely fought FNYL 2014/15.
