“I look forward to joining the squad in Sydney and to Sunday’s game against Uzbekistan.”
The team are in transit back from Qatar, where last night they were held to a 0-0 draw by Iraq in their AFC Asian Qualifier for the 2012 London Games.
With the loss of two squad members from this game, Australian U23s Head Coach Aurelio Vidmar today called in Kantarovski as well as Melbourne Heart defender Curtis Good into the U23s squad.
Kantarovski will miss the Jets Week 8 clash with Adelaide United at Hindmarsh Stadium, as he will join the U23s squad in Sydney on Thursday.
The AFC Asian Qualifiers for the 2012 London Games match between the Qantas Australian Under 23s and Uzbekistan will be broadcast live and exclusive on FOX SPORTS.
