Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets midfielder Ben Kantarovski will remain in the UAE after retaining his spot in the Australian under 23-s for their third 2012 London Olympics qualifier against the UAE on February 22 in Abu Dhabi.
The Australian side will need to win their remaining two matches and hope either Uzbekistan or UAE accrue no more than one point from their final two matches for goal difference to determine final placing.
In preparation for this match Australia will take part in an international friendly against the Philippines at Al Nasr Stadium on Thursday February 16.
The Jets wish Kantarovski all the best during his time with the Australian side.
