Football is more than a game to many fans and families around the world. Instead, it represents a way of life, and it-s no different for the thousands of participants and followers in the local region.
The Newcastle Jets recognise the important and positive role that football can play in people-s lives and have therefore implemented a series of initiatives to develop crucial relationships at the grassroots level.
As part of this commitment to supporting and linking the football community in the Northern NSW region, the club is donating 1 x family pass for the Hyundai A-League 2010/11 season to every junior club within the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie & Hunter associations.
These junior clubs have been contacted through their respective secretaries, and are encouraged to utilise the family pass as a fundraising item during the current local season in order to help support their fundamental operations.
This goodwill gesture is just another way that the Newcastle Jets are ensuring the long, proud tradition of football in the region continues to grow at the grassroots level. To find out more about the club-s community programs, please click here
