David Lowe previews Round 5, including the Jets v Glory game at Ausgrid Stadium.

The Newcastle Jets host high flying Perth Glory at Ausgrid Stadium on Saturday night in a match that could see the hosts move up to second place if they secure the win.

Perth have started the season well and have a vastly improved side to the one that struggled for much of last season.

In Shane Smetlz they have arguably the best goal scorer in the league and he is enjoying valuable support from Englishman Billy Mehmet and ex Manchester United and Celtic player Liam Miller.

The Jets will be looking to maintain their 100 per cent winning record at Ausgrid Stadium this season and with mercurial import Francis Jeffers set to make his first appearance for the Club this time around, will be confident of securing another home victory.

Immediately following the Jets and Glory clash the potential blockbuster between Melbourne Victory and Brisbane Roar takes place. The biggest Club in the country takes on the best team in the land and it should be a classic.

Elsewhere the Melbourne Heart travel to a shell-shocked Adelaide United, looking for their first win of the season.

The Mariners travel to Wellington to play a team that can-t seem to finish a game with eleven men but are still very difficult to beat.

Finally Sydney host a very competitive Gold Coast United in what should be a very tight contest.
