New signing Craig Goodwin is currently leading the Men of Football’s Ray Baartz Medal tally.

Following each Newcastle Jets game the Men of Football nominate their best on field for the Jets by allocating 3 points, 2 points and 1 point.

The player with the highest number of votes at the end of the season will be awarded the Ray Baartz Medal.

For Round 1, Ruben Zadkovich polled the highest vote but the consistency of Craig Goodwin has seen the new signing take the lead after Round 2.

Each week, the votes will be posted on the Jets website along with a cumulative leaders tally. The final four rounds of voting won’t be published and the winner of the medal revealed at season’s end.

The votes from Round 1 against Adelaide United were as follows:

Ruben Zadkovich – 76 votes
Craig Goodwin – 68 votes
Scott Neville – 24 votes

The votes from Round 2 against Sydney FC were as follows:
Craig Goodwin – 166 votes
Emile Heskey – 69 votes
Ryan Griffiths – 64 votes

Season to date:
