The Newcastle Jets have made a change to their provisional match day squad for the 2018 Hyundai A-League Grand Final.

Jack Duncan has succumb to the quad injury that saw him substituted early in the club’s Semi Final win over Melbourne City.

Glen Moss will replace Duncan in the starting side, with Ivan Necevski to deputise on the bench.

Jets Coach, Ernie Merrick said that while he was disappointed for Duncan he had every confidence in Moss to do the job on Grand Final day.

“Glen is the ultimate professional with fantastic experience, he came in and did a job last week and I have no doubt he’ll do the same on Saturday,” said Merrick.

“We’re bitterly disappointed for Jack of course, but it’s great to be able to bring in Ivan – a guy who was involved with the club for a fair portion of this season.

“He’s an excellent character with plenty of runs on the board, and will no doubt do an fantastic job in supporting Glen this weekend.”

Necevski joined the Jets on a training contract mid-way through the 2017/18 Hyundai A-League season – sitting on the bench on 11 occasions.

The experienced shot-stopper is currently plying his trade with APIA Leichhardt.
