Newcastle Jets wish to extend its thanks to the Members and fans who contributed to the Club’s non-perishable food drive last Saturday.
In support of OzHarvest Newcastle, just over 93 kilograms of food was donated to OzHarvest volunteers in the Club’s pre-game ‘Family Fun Fair’ presented by Greater Bank.
Newcastle Jets also recognises the support of Western Sydney Wanderers supporters, and particularly the Red & Black Bloc (RBB) who rallied around this cause.
OzHarvest is the leading food rescue organisation in Australia, collecting quality excess food from commercial outlets and delivering it to charities that support people in need across Australia.
OzHarvest launched in Newcastle in 2010, and has grown into an impactful operation, rescuing over 1.3 million kilograms of food and delivering it to more than 85 charitable agencies.
