With kick-off in the Westfield W-League 2016/17 Season just days away, Newcastle Jets is pleased to announce that Beechwood Homes has continued its support of the Club’s Westfield W-League program while also recommitting as a Major Partner of the Club.

Beechwood Homes has been building modern, spacious and affordable family homes for over 35 years, and in June 2015 became an Official Partner of Newcastle Jets.

Today three of Jets Women’s international stars were introduced to the media at Speers Point ahead of the team’s round 1 encounter with the defending Westfield W-League Champions Melbourne City Women at C.B. Smith Reserve in Victoria on Sunday.

Americans Megan Oyster (defender) and Kelsey Wys (goalkeeper) from Washington Spirit plus Arin Gilliland (defender) from Chicago Red Stars have committed to Jets Women for the forthcoming campaign. The talented trio join striker Jen Hoy, also from Chicago Red Stars, who was presented to the press last week.

Beechwood’s Managing Director Vic Cavasinni said his company is pleased to continue its connection with the Club and its team in the Westfield W-League – a competition Beechwood Homes has a long and proud association with.

“We are very pleased to be supporting the Newcastle Jets Westfield W-League team again this season,” Cavasinni said.

“The team went close to making the Finals Series last season and hopefully can make it this season.”

“Beechwood have enjoyed a long association with the Westfield W-League and are happy to contribute to women’s sport.”

“We look forward to once again watching the Jets play with our name on their jersey in Newcastle and around the nation and wish the squad and the coaching staff all the best for the new season,” Cavasinni concluded.

Beechwood Homes branding will feature on the front of Jets Women’s playing shirts throughout the 2016/17 Season, plus on the back of the team’s away strip.

All of Newcastle Jets Women’s home matches will be played as double-headers before the Club’s Hyundai A-League games, and three of the team’s regular season matches will be televised live on FOX SPORTS as well as on free to air via ABC Television.

Newcastle Jets Chief Executive Officer Mr Lawrie McKinna thanked Beechwood Homes for recommitting to the Club for a second season.

“Beechwood Homes were the first major partner to jump on board with the Club after Football Federation Australia took control of the Jets in 2015,” McKinna explained. “Vic (Cavasinni) and his team, particularly Brett Wilson, provided outstanding support on many levels for the Club last season, so we are naturally ecstatic that our alliance with such a trusted and professional organisation has extended.”
