NEWS: Jets join forces with Southern Cross Austereo in Northern NSW

With the start of the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 Season on the horizon, Newcastle Jets is pleased to announce that the Club has entered into a fresh media partnership with Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) in Northern New South Wales.

Newcastle Jets Chief Executive Officer Mr Lawrie McKinna confirmed the partnership news at the Club’s 2016 Corporate Launch held alongside over 200 Members of the Jets’ family of partners, suppliers and supporters at the iconic Merewether Surfhouse on Thursday afternoon.

The Jets and SCA have teamed up to provide engaging content to football fans in Northern NSW, with the partnership set to be activated across a variety of mediums.

Indeed, Jets players and coaches are set to feature regularly on popular radio station 106.9 NXFM throughout the next three Hyundai A-League campaigns, while the Club will also benefit from regular ad placements on the network to support its initiatives and growth.

The Club will also have access to ad placements on Southern Cross Ten throughout the forthcoming Hyundai A-League season, and be able to work with SCA to drive content relevant to both parties throughout its digital and social platforms.

“We are proud to have partnered with the talented team at Southern Cross Austereo,” McKinna said. “All our corporate partners are extremely valuable to the Club, however it is vital that we possess strong media partners to support our objective to communicate and connect with ours fans.”

“Southern Cross Austereo has a vast network in Northern New South Wales and a strong track record of delivering engaging, locally made content, so we feel that we that this partnership will prove to be a winning one for both parties over the coming years,” he said.

SCA Northern New South Wales Regional General Manager Mr Ashley Myatt said that he’s delighted that his network has been able to enter into an agreement with the Jets.

“I am thrilled for NXFM and Ten Newcastle to partner with Newcastle Jets,” Myatt said. “The local SCA family will be at Hunter Stadium cheering the Jets on at each home game, and as a huge football fan I am personally excited to be a part of the Club’s journey to success.”

106.9 NXFM will be responsible for allocating Junior Mascots for some Newcastle Jets matches throughout the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 Season, so Jets supporters with young kids or involved with grassroots football are urged to tune in to find out how they can win the chance to walk onto the field at Hunter Stadium with Mark Jones’s men.
