Numerous Newcastle Jets Members are set to feature in a new Club Membership television commercial after filming wrapped up with 4B Media on Tuesday afternoon.
The Jets and production company 4B Media have been working closely to develop a new commercial set to run on NBN Television and online before the kick-off of the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season.
Filming has seen players and Members alike be filmed in some of Newcastle’s most iconic locations including Nobbys Beach, the CBD, and Hunter Stadium.
The final scenes were shot at Beechwood Homes’ display centre in Chisholm on Tuesday.
Three Members — Chad Eacott, Jakov Jakovljevic, and Olha Pokhmurska — spoke to www.NewcastleJets.com.au after filming concluded. Â
Jakovljevic said that Members and fans alike are loving the community involvement the Jets have been undertaking.
“This is a fantastic opportunity and an experience I’ll never forget,” Jakovljevic said.
“I’m a long time Jets fan and to get the call to come down and get involved was really exciting and I was definitely keen to help out.
“When the players and the club interact with their fans it’s just great and that’s exactly what the fans want.”
University student Olha Pokhmurska said while she had never been in front of the camera before it was a rewarding experience.
“This is a really new experience for me but it’s been good for us to get a chance to be involved with the club,” Pokhmurska said.
“It gives you an insight into the club and you feel like you’re part of the team as well.” said.
Eacott is another long-serving Jets fanatic and says that the community involvement from the Jets this season has members and supporters excited for the new Hyundai A-League campaign.
“The paintings by Mitch Revs for the jersey launch were excellent and the likeness of Nigel Boogaard was really good,” Eacott said.
“It’s good to see the club engaging with the fans because we’re like the 12th man on the field and the more excited we get the more the players react.”
“As a Member I’m really looking forward to this season and I think it will be one of the best we’ve had in while,” he said.Â
