Newcastle Jets wish to inform its Members that the club’s Hyundai A-League side will be wearing its blue home kit when it tackles Melbourne Victory at Hunter Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Jets had intended to wear the club’s gold third kit for Hyundai A-League 2015/16 round 13, however will now wear their regular home strip for the match after a request to shift from the original strip allocations for the fixture could not be accommodated.
Newcastle Jets Interim Chief Executive Officer, Mr David Eland, said that the club will seek to wear its gold kit for an alternate match this season if possible.
“Our players will wear gold in Hyundai A-League 2015/16 round 23 against Western Sydney Wanderers at Hunter Stadium, and we will seek to wear the gold strip in a further match later this season should we be able to facilitate it and receive the necessary approvals,” Eland explained.
Newcastle Jets host Melbourne Victory on Sunday 3 January 2016 in a Hyundai A-League/Westfield W-League double-header. Jets Women kick-off against their Victory counterparts at 2pm, with the Hyundai A-League contest between the two clubs to follow at 5pm.
