Newcastle Jets ace Andrew Nabbout was today confirmed as Newcastle Jets’ Beechwood Homes Player of the Month for January 2017.Nabbout received just over 70 per cent of the vote from fans on the Club’s official website - www.NewcastleJets.com.au.
The other nominees for January 2017 were winger Andrew Hoole, club captain Nigel Boogaard, plus Arin Gilliland from Newcastle Jets Women.
The Newcastle Jets Beechwood Homes Player of the Month Award is presented to one Hyundai A-League or Westfield W-League player throughout each team’s 2016/17 season.
In winning the Award for December 2017 Nabbout became the first Jets player in history to claim the gong three times.
The former Negeri Sembilan man also received the honour in October 2016 and December 2016.
Nabbout scored four goals in five matches through January 2017, and also claimed the PFA Player of the Month for the top player in the entire competition.
Nabbout found the back of the net away to Brisbane Roar in a 3-2 win, at home to Perth Glory in a 2-2 draw, and twice at home (Coffs Harbour) to Melbourne City in a 2-1 win.
