The exciting project of restoring Newcastle Jets to a Hyundai A-League force today received significant support with Australia’s largest and leading network of paint stores, Inspirations Paint, signing on as a major sponsor of the Club.

Inspirations Paint was established in Newcastle in 1979 with five stores, and now boasts 130 stores across Australia.

Inspirations Paint Chief Executive Officer, Mr Robert Guy, said: “We wanted to support a football code that reaches Australians everywhere we have a store; from Newcastle to Nerang to Nunawading”.

“Regardless of Inspirations Paint’s national reach, our heritage lies with Newcastle and this made the partnership decision an easy one,” Mr Guy said.

During the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season, Inspirations Paint’s support of the Jets will be highly visible to football fans nationally, as Inspirations Paint branding will feature on the front of Newcastle Jets’ BLK away kit, and on the back of the club’s BLK home jerseys.

Significantly, Inspirations Paint’s support of the Jets extends to the Club’s Westfield W-League side. Like the Club’s Hyundai A-League players, Jets Women will wear BLK kits featuring Inspirations Paint branding in each of their matches.

Newcastle Jets Interim Chief Executive Officer, Mr David Eland, said that the Club is thrilled to have forged ties with an innovative, ideas-driven company currently enjoying a substantial period of growth.

Inspirations Paint are eager to engage with football fans not only in Newcastle, but across Australia,” Mr Eland explained. “In the meetings our staff have had with Inspirations Paint’s representatives thus far, there has been an overwhelming and authentic synergy between the organisations.”

Newcastle Jets and Inspirations Paint teamed up to launch the partnership at Honeysuckle in Newcastle on Thursday, collaborating with highly regarded and well known artist Mitch Revs to paint four caricatures of Newcastle Jets players on canvasses.

Paintings of Nigel Boogaard, Labinot Haliti, and Westfield W-League star Tara Andrews were exhibited on the day, however Serbian midfielder Enver Alivodic’s caricature was completed by Revs live Harbourside, with Jets Members, fans, passers-by – and naturally Alivodic himself – on hand to watch the canvas come to life.

Mr Guy said: “Today’s activation represents Inspirations Paint’s passion for people’s paint projects, but also the spirit in which we’re committed to work with Newcastle Jets”.

“We genuinely believe that the Newcastle Jets are a project full of potential, and like the customers at our stores we’re keen to help the Club fulfil its goals by working collaboratively, sharing ideas, and utilising our vast network of stores around the nation to offer value and service to Hyundai A-League Members and fans seeking to undertake their own projects,” he said.

Inspirations Paint’s national Head Office is located at Warners Bay near Newcastle.
