The lesson was the first of two sessions that Lachlan Jackson, Ryan Kitto, Mitch Cooper, Radovan Pavicevic, Brandon Lundy, Themba Muata-Marlow, Andy Brennan, and Josh Barresi will take part in as the club aims to support its young players by helping them to build upon their skills in the kitchen and learn how to cook healthy recipes.

The Wholesome Collective is owned and operated by Kerryn Boogaard – wife of Newcastle Jets captain Nigel Boogaard – and on Monday Kerryn and her colleague Mary Wills guided the players through their lesson and offered them expert advice and insights.

The Wholesome Collective provides individual dietary consultations, presentations, and cooking classes around Newcastle, the Central Coast, and online.

Blue Door Café owner and club sponsor and supporter Peter James kindly provided complimentary kitchen space for the personal development session to be held.

The club aims to build upon the initial collaboration with Blue Door Café and The Wholesome Collective to provide additional cooking and dietary support and skills to its young players in the future.
