The next time Newcastle Jets step onto Hunter Stadium for a competitive fixture will be against arch-rivals Central Coast Mariners.
The 35th Hyundai A-League edition of the #F3Derby will provide the Jets with the opportunity to put an end to a run of draws and defeats against the Gosford-based side.
Unfortunately, the last time Newcastle got the wood over Central Coast was in October 2012 when goals from Ryan Griffiths and Emile Heskey cancelled out Bernie Ibini’s lone strike for the Mariners.
The lengthy spell between #F3Derby success for the Jets will only serve as motivation for Phil Stubbins and his men as they bid to climb the Hyundai A-League ladder and provide the club’s members and fans with what they crave – triumph over the Mariners!
