Newcastle Jets Youth suffered a 2-1 defeat to Weston Workers Bears at Rockwell Automation Park on Saturday.
Peter McGuinness’ side took the lead in the round 13 Northern NSW National Premier League encounter in the coalfields via a neat Ben Hay finish, however were ultimately undone by a pair of goals by Paul Clout.
The junior Jets are currently seventh in the ten-team league with five games remaining.
This weekend Jets Youth will travel to Lisle Carr Oval to challenge Charlestown City Blues.
