NPL: Jets Youth fall to Hamilton Olympic

Newcastle Jets Youth’s three match winning run in the Northern NSW PS4 National Premier League came to an end on Sunday when they were defeated 2-1 by Hamilton Olympic at Darling Street Oval.

Michael Kantarovski’s goal for the junior Jets early in the second stanza was sandwiched in-between efforts from Kane Goodchild early in the game, and Andrew Swan’s winner late in the encounter.

After the opening six rounds of the NNSW PS4 NPL Peter McGuinness’ side are in fourth position in the ten-team league with a record of three wins, a draw and two defeats.

The team’s next match is against unbeaten competition pacesetters Broadmeadow Magic at Magic Park on Friday evening. Kick-off is 7:00pm.
